For the first time on the public market, found in a private collection, one of the rarest and most desirable muscle car in the world, a 1970 Challenger R/T convertible 440 six pack, four speed. 1 of 5 built for export, 1 of 61 total production in 4 speed configuration, this car is one of the best investment you can do in your entire life, and you have only one chance to do it.
History:
This beautiful car was sold in Brossard ( Montreal area ) by Lapiniere Chrysler in the summer of 1970. It was a special order from the dealer owner for his son’s birthday. Was sold in the early 70’s to a professionnal boxer of Montreal who owned it from 72 to 75, until Serge Pelletier bought and ran it until 1983. After the muscle car era, the car was forget outside without any protection from 1983 to 2001. In summer 2001, the Mopar maniac Serge Ste-Marie had a purple attack when he saw the Challenger in the back yard of Mr Pelletier and immediately start the negociation to buy the car and bring back this beauty in her glory days. Serge took care of the original matching body, even if it was in bad shape.
After close to 3000 hours of lovely work and a bundel of money, Mr Ste-Marie finish the concourse restoration in summer 2004. When people see the result of his work, Serge feel like a movie star. That trailer queen won every shows in her category and become a trophy collector with about 20 in 2 years. That beautiful love story arrive to his end now, since Mr Ste-Marie found his dream car, a 1970 hemi cuda 4 speed. A wonderfull Challenger R/T convertible 440 six pack, four speed, show winner quality plum crazy paint, white top, white longitudinal stripe, white interior, bucket seats, console, power top, rallye guages, pistol grip, shaker hood, dana 3:54 track pkg, light package, power disc brakes, dual painted racing mirrors, hood pins, double exhaust with chrome tips, space saver, pedal dress up, rimblow steering, road wheels. The shaker hood setup is all chrysler original parts, but was not a factory option on that car, as the rimblow steering. Everything is new on that car. The engine block is a correct dated factory warranty block, has the matching four speed tranny, original fender tag. Has the broadcast sheet but all in small parts and nothing readable.
